Creating Treatment Reports

For the majority of pet treatment centres the treatment reports provided after treatment is almost as important as the treatment itself.

This is because these treatment reports provide a valuable update of what treatment was provided, how it has affected the animal receiving the treatment, and the next steps that are required to ensure treatment success.

These treatment reports are useful internally, especially when there are multiple staff members involved in the treatment given. They are also useful externally to the client, their veterinary practice and even their insurance provider. Naturally, these treatment reports are expected to meet certain requirements, whether those requirements are set by your governing board or your own high standards.

The Animalog system is set up with these treatment reports at the forefront, each appointment has a reporting section to enable you to create a treatment report. With a few simple fields and data collection, the system will produce a treatment report following the SOAP guidelines. Further information on the SOAP guidelines within Animalog can be found here.

These reports are saved to the client record ready to be referred to at any time. These reports can be downloaded as a PDF and emailed to any relevant veterinary clinics and insurance companies as and when needed.

If you or members of your team don’t complete the report at the time of the appointment, everyone works in different ways afterall, then the system will flag the report to you as incomplete. Giving you an instant overview of what reports need your attention.

Naturally, if you receive external reports from other treatment centres, veterinary clinics and even the client themself, they can all be added to the pet's record so all the information you need is in one place.
